I’m gonna tell yuh, Give you something for nothing, love It doesn’t matter Wherever you’re coming from You can call me, On any regular afternoon To say that things are going pear-shaped, It’ll all come crashing down soon Well I can see you, See this burden it weighs you down So forget your problems, No matter what I’ll be hanging ‘round You’re thinking; ‘so it happened, it’s a whirlwind, you just can’t stop the wheels in motion, hey now wait, this tidal wave, is nothing but a drop in the ocean,’ It’s some kind of sin I’ll let you in, I’ll spell it out, Beyond a doubt, You need to be sure, You need the truth, So please let me try to explain it to you I said Never Explain, your friends they don’t need it And your enemies won’t listen anyway Ah, this is the rule, I try to remember, and time and time I’ll cover you again. (How you ever gonna love somebody? x 3 How you ever gonna learn to love somebody?) I said Never Explain, your friends they don’t need it And your enemies won’t listen anyway Ah, this is the rule, I try to remember, and time and time I’ll cover you again.

Bright Eyes 03:12
Is it a kind of a dream? Floating out on the tide Following the river of death downstream, Or is it a dream? There’s a fog along the horizon, A strange glow in the sky, And nobody seems to know where you go, And what does it mean? Is it a dream? Bright Eyes, burning like fire Bright Eyes, how could they close and fail? How could the light that burned so brightly, suddenly burn so pale? Bright Eyes Is it a kind of a shadow? Reaching into the night? Wandering over the hills unseen, or is it a dream? There’s a high wind in the trees, A cold sound in the air, And nobody ever knows when you go, And where do you start? oh, Into the dark Bright Eyes, burning like fire Bright Eyes, how could they close and fail? How could the light that burned so brightly, suddenly burn so pale? Bright Eyes

about

Who knows how the time passes in the Universe, but this EP has been years in the making. The idea to record two songs (one an original and one a cover) came from Lachlan back in 2013 and the majority of those two songs were subsequently recorded during a week of sessions in a now non-existent beach house in Port Fairy dubbed 'the last house on the right.'

Some overdubs and many mixes followed over the months after the sessions.
Remix stems were sent out to Ben and our good friend Nicholas Krgovich, who both responded with excellent versions of both songs.

The original idea was for this to be a 12" extended single in the vein of the classic 80's synth-pop releases, but our lack of budget doesn't currently allow. Please make a solid donation on top of your purchase of the digital version, and maybe we'll get it pressed!
